Padel

The Limpsfield Club is delighted to have Padel alongside its more familiar racket sports of tennis, squash, racketball, badminton and table tennis.

Padel is the fastest growing racket sport in the world and the LTA has been named as the governing body for the sport as it is quickly catching on in the UK. Padel is a blend of tennis and squash that is easy to play, fun and sociable. It is played mainly in a doubles format on an enclosed court smaller than a tennis court and can be played in groups of mixed ages and abilities, as it is not power dominant. The rules are similar to tennis, although you serve underarm and the walls are used as part of the game and the ball can be played off them. Padel is playable all year round and members can book online through Clubsys.

Currently any member who holds an 'Outdoor' or 'Indoor' membership may play Padel in off-peak times (Monday - Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am - 12pm, Saturday & Sunday 5pm - 9pm).

Those members that have paid the 'Peak Padel' uplift fee may play at any time, 9am - 9:30pm.
Padel court charge is £6 per hour at peak times and £3 per hour during off-peak times.
Padel floodlighting is charged at +£2 per hour.

Facilities

We have two top 'Italian Padel' courts with the 'World Padel Tour' surface (the blue Mondo Supercourt XN texturised carpet).

Play is possible from 9am to 9:30pm every day of the week.

Social

Padel is a sport that you can quickly grasp & immediately enjoy and then you can take it to any level!

... some choose to just play Socially, others enjoy the Club's Internal box leagues and others may wish to get involved with team matches for inter-club play.

There is also a daytime mix-in held Wednesdays 10:30am to 12:30pm.
There are lots of WhatsApp groups available to arrange matches and our Padel coaches will help you find playing partners or pairs at your level.
